Job Description

  • We are hiring across our Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra offices.
  • As a Senior Analyst/Associate in our economics advisory team, you will be involved in supporting a range of client projects by conducting research, analysing economic data, and developing policy recommendations. We work with governments, businesses and organisations as they navigate a changing economy and new markets by combining strategy consulting methods alongside data analytics.
  • These roles will include:

Client engagement and project delivery:

  • Work with project teams, typically consisting of three to five consultants, to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Be responsible for delivering dedicated workstreams of work within client projects
  • Support project leads in managing client relationships, establishing trust.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyse data, structure ambiguous problems, and formulate actionable recommendations
  • Present findings to client leadership and collaborate with their teams to implement solutions.

Team collaboration and development:

  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing feedback and participating in the firm's performance assessment process.
  • Foster a culture of self-awareness, empathy, and engagement within the team.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment, encouraging diverse perspectives and strengths-based development.

Firm development and contributions:

  • Participate in firm-building activities, such as recruitment, quality assurance, and team engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to business development efforts under the mentorship of senior leadership.
  • Suggest, plan, and deliver activities to reinforce team culture and success.

Personal and professional growth:

  • Pursue continuous learning opportunities to address development areas and build on strengths.
  • Manage workstreams and tasks effectively, demonstrating self-motivation and a growth mindset.
  • Seek and act on feedback to improve performance and achieve career goals.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD) or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in strategy, economics, public policy, government regulation or related fields (such as law, maths or data science).
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute meaningfully to team environments and deliver on-time, high-quality projects.
  • Proven track record of substantial achievement and career progression.
  • Ability to structure complex problems and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis and logical reasoning strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an interest in public policy.
