Job Description

We are looking for experienced strategy consultants with a minimum of five years’ experience to join our economic advisory firm, across offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra

As an Engagement Manager, you will...

  • Lead a team of three to five consultants in the day-to-day delivery of client projects
  • Take overall responsibility for the quality of client deliverables
  • Manage client engagement by developing and maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel
  • Mentor and develop individual team members on projects, and outside of projects
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff
  • Contribute to business development efforts of the firm under the guidance and mentorship of senior leadership
  • Contribute to important firm-building activities such as recruitment, quality assurance and team engagement

We are looking for…

  • Expertise in one of the following disciplines: strategy consulting, economics, public policy, law, statistics and data science, finance or the natural sciences
  • Proven ability to lead a team and deliver on-time and high-quality projects using structured work plans
  • Capacity to motivate teams and build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners
  • Strong achievement drive and a growth mindset
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and conceptual problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Skills to develop recommendations and present them to clients

Desired Skills and Experience

You will have…

  • A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in one of the disciplines mentioned above
  • More than five years of consulting experience in strategy, economics, or policy
  • Demonstrated experience of high performance and achievement at previous positions
  • Evidence of strong career trajectory in previous roles – willingness to take on additional responsibilities and evidence of strong achievement drive
